Equality and Equity
At Assembly this Friday we are learning about Equality vs Equity.
Equality is when every one received the same support to achieve the same goals.
Equity is when people receive the support they need to achieve the same goals.
Sometimes, students can perceive equity as unfair (unequal). For example, a student may have more time with a teacher, tutoring, different work or different consequences.
